Achievable and Dreamable Closets

The Iconic Closet - photo source
Let's face it,  we cant all have our dream closets right?  It would be nice if we were all like Carrie Bradshaw complete with walk-in closet filled with all the clothes and shoes any girl could ever want.  A chic rug, blue paint and stylish overhead lighting seen here is actually pretty simple! (pay no mind to the disorganization, the contents warrants her the right to be messy)  This is totally doable!  Its about making the most of the space that you do have.  We all know she gets an upgrade in the 2nd movie but don't worry that picture is posted today as well :)
Whether you have a tiny one door closet or a huge spare bedroom or attic for your closet space, there is always room for fun improvements.   If you are that lucky gal that has the BIG space then more power to you.  Have fun and go nuts! Add that dressing room, vanity and seating for you and friends.   If you are like me and can't have it all then use some of your dream elements to make your closet space more fun and of course superiorly organized.  See my inspiration below.  Just for Kicks I had to post this video from one of my favorite scenes in Carrie's closet.

Now that you have seen some inspiration for all sized closets here are some necessary essentials along with some creative & unique organization ideas.  The workbench is very functional for organizing accessories such as jewelry, belts and makeup.  I first saw this idea at my hair salon where each stylist has their own workbench.  If you have the space a chair or ottoman is always a great additive.  Rugs work great for hallway closets.  Every girl wants a chandelier (well I know I do.)  Having the same size hangers throughout helps with space saving and organization.  A body form is always a great piece of decor but it also serves as a great way to lay out an outfit and of course is helpful for those of you that can actually thread a needle. An oversized mirror is a must!  Adding some funky wallpaper is sure to complete your new closet makeover.  Oh and don't forget to organize those shoes.
